Project
IBEQuA (2025-1-ES01-KA220-SCH-000356490) is an Erasmus+ KA2 Cooperation partnership focused on developing an inclusive quality assurance framework for bilingual education, with the aim of ensuring quality CLIL for all.
Running from 2025-2028, IBEQuA’s main aim is to design and empirically validate the first European quality assurance framework for inclusive bilingual education (CLIL). Our specific objectives are:
1.
To provide frontline educational stakeholders involved in CLIL programs with quality control indicators of exactly what constitutes successful diversity-sensitive CLIL practice at all curricular and organizational levels.
These benchmarks will constitute a common standard to apply across bi- and multilingual education which will allow for internal and external evaluation of inclusive CLIL implementation at all levels.
2.
To offer pre- and in-service teachers clear-cut guidelines stemming from these indicators by creating an interactive online manual with an ICT-enhanced repository of practical guidelines, best practices, and short “CLIL pill” videos linked in through social media with practical tips and illustrations for each of the key success factors identified.
3.
To design and pilot a teacher development module to familiarize stakeholders with the quality indicators and guidelines and to train teachers to implement them in their CLIL classrooms, in order to guarantee quality inclusive bilingual education.
4.
To share knowledge internationally by disseminating the framework and resources across Europe and globally, ensuring harmonized, high-quality bilingual education practices.
To achieve these goals, IBEQuA brings together partners from five European universities, associated partner organisations from four continents, and an array of primary and secondary schools, who will help ensure that our work is solidly grounded in the practical realities of bilingual teaching and learning.
